Just some light humor.... Every time I read the title of this post, I think to myself that many (especially those that recently bought the P3D or LR AWD models) say to themselves.... "Prices just dropped....now my stones just dropped"...." :p

Okay, moving on....

Edit: I'm referring to kidney "stones," of course....

For anyone with an updated price, does it show the new breakdown of the new Standard Range price and the new upcharge for the SR+? It was $35,400 + $4,500. I've got a SR on order and want to know if it's price has changed.

The price change was in the "Plus" upgrade price, which is now $3,590 instead of $4,500. The SR (non-Plus) base price of $35,400 remains the same.

Agreed - no point in worrying about something you have no control over. Most people haven't been offered anything yet, so you're ahead of the game as far as I can tell. I, myself, have reached out to my Delivery Specialist who could only promise to look into it and get back to me, no promises.

The thing is I am still under the 7 day return period. So that’s the control I still have

I bought mine in black/black for:
59500 MSRP
1200 doc fees
6148 tax

Incentives at the time included:
2500 CA Rebate
3750 Fed Rebate,
800 PG&E Rebate.

Total? 59768

Now the same car is MSRP 55740. Add tax (adjusted) and doc fees, remove current rebates (only change being 1875 fed rebate) and you total 57532.

~$2200 loss. Not nearly as bad as white. Not thrilled but I'd rather support keeping Tesla alive more than a couple grand of resale value.

The worst would be a performance 3 white with FSD that was delivered 8 days ago.

But even then it’s not really a loss but a missed savings opportunity.

With today’s prices, I “overpaid” approx. $3000 but that isn’t really my concern. My main concern post purchase is that Tesla doesn’t fold because that can mean a total write-off of the car, worst case.

So if these price changes are what it takes for them to survive and/or succeed, it’s a win for every Model 3 owner, no matter how much one paid for their car.

So is there no chance they will offer a compensation for owners who took delivery right before the price adjustment? I'm guessing no, but cheaper FSD or supercharging would always be welcome :).

I thought they had done some refund at earlier price adjustments.

Make sure you still get all of the Performance pack stuff, including the Red brake calipers. The old Performance with 18s did not, as the stock 18" rims won't fit over the calipers.

That is a good catch since by going with the 18"s for ~$2k less may remove your larger rotors and larger red brake calipers. If you are not familiar with big brake upgrades they are expensive. Now I am not suggesting the brake upgrades included with the M3P are comparable to a set of 6 piston Brembos but they are a nice upgrade over stock nonetheless and they look a lot better. If you go and buy a big brake upgrade it can cost $4k or more. So realize what you may be giving up in hardware if you switch wheels.
