Problem with FPGA

Hi All.

I have an MCU that keeps rebooting and i get these entries in the syslog:

2020-06-06T07:47:40.569211-07:00 cid QtCar[889]: [I2CDevice] ERROR FPGA read error: reg = 4 result = -1
2020-06-06T07:47:40.569637-07:00 cid QtCar[889]: [] ERROR FPGA reports display error: ff
2020-06-06T07:47:40.571151-07:00 cid QtCar[889]: [I2CDevice] ERROR FPGA write error: reg = 4 value = 0 result = -1
2020-06-06T07:48:18.804711-07:00 cid QtCar[889]: [] INFO InfoClassicDisplayHardwareManager requesting FPGA reset
2020-06-06T07:48:18.889873-07:00 cid QtCar[889]: [] INFO InfoClassicDisplayHardwareManager FPGA reset request result: 0

Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this, sounds to me like an FPGA that cannot be written and therefor cannot be read with the correct data.

I had @LuckyLuke to help me as well, but just as myself he ran out of ideas as well. So if anyone has any idea, they are more than welcome to jump in.

The car had the eMMC chip replaced about 3 months ago, with several updates in between. I have checked the Tegra board and cannot find any faults on that, neither on hard- or software.

I just wanted to post an update that all of my problems have been completely resolved, and I was correct it was the EMMC replacement. Apparently the service center installed the wrong EMMC daughter board causing my screen to completely malfunction. I took it to a different service center who replaced it and now it works normal!!!!

Sorry to dredge up an old post, but I am having issues that sound quite similar to yours: my center screen went black over the summer, they replaced the eMMC, and it's been flaky ever since until 2 days ago when it went completely out again. How did you get to see those syslog, and how did you (or they) identify the wrong vs right daughter board?
