PSA - Do Not Force Close the Trunk with the Cargo Cover in the Upright Position

Day-2 Model S owner. The trunk was up for a few hours today and would not automatically close.

Sometimes, struts get "stiff" when left in the up position, so after a quick obstruction check, I gently pressed it closed so it latched. That forced the cargo lid down behind the seat and left some minor marks on the headliner trim piece on the trunk itself. I was able to rub the area down to make them mostly disappear, but please don't make this same dumb mistake yourselves.

Never occurred to me to check the cargo cover, as this is the first time I've owned a vehicle with one.

I'm just confused by what you mean by "cargo cover in the upright position". It's meant to lay horizontally either folded in half or unfolded. I'm not sure how you could even make it stay upright.
Here you go...
