Just Public Service Announcement (PSA) for yearly Vehicle Recall Check.
I do a yearly check on recalls for all of my vehicles (Cars and Motorcycles). I know manufacturers are "supposed" to notify the owners, but with moves, and manufacturer delay issues…stuff happens.
The US government site for vehicle recall check is:
https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/vinLookup
Just put in your VIN, declare yourself as not being a robot - and it will list the open Recalls for that Vehicle.
I just put a yearly reminder in my calendar at the end of the year (when I am typically off).
I also check my kids vehicle VINs as they tend to be less…concerned/rigorous.
