Question about the Apple car play for Tesla

They all work through the browser, and I find it to be more trouble than it's worth. You have to connect your tesla to the wifi hotspot of this device and then open a browser to load carplay in it. Audio works, steering wheel controls do not unless you also connect your car to it via bluetooth, and then your audio is bluetooth based. Also, worth nothing that this particular device does not have a LTE modem so if it does not support USB tethering, your tesla apps will have no data, which means no traffic, no music apps, no tesla theater for as long as this device is on and active. So yes, you can get carplay if you really want it, it was not worth it to me.
