Random TACC max speed decreases

This happened to me a few times when I was driving through Germany last week. I had the adaptive cruise control set at 90 mph. Suddenly it was automatically changed to 50 mph causing heavy regenerative braking. Very uncomfortable experience. I decided to stop using the TACC at high speeds after this experience because of safety concerns. It is very surprising that this can happen while just using adaptive cruise control. It should be fixed before it causes an accident..
