Range Gained vs. Charge Time

I just found this simple chart concerning current EV's and amount of charge gained in a 20 minute charge session. Based on this limited sample, I'm not sure 800 volts systems buy you much. This chart was from August 2023 Panorama magazine. (A Porsche magazine)

800v is more about efficiency of transferring energy, waste heat, etc. most consumers probably don’t care about voltages, phase, power factor or waste heat, because they aren't (noticeably) billed for it. Commercial power is billed by KVA not KW, so they would care about energy losses and small efficiency gains there. As well as the reduced wear and tear on conductors. voltage creates less waste heat than amps. Saving stress wear on parts like batteries, wires or allowing smaller or cheaper parts to be used. Thats why power transmission lines operate in the 500,000v range to prevent melting wires.
