RAV 4 EV Not sold on Ebay

Is curious in that it did not sell and only got one bid under reserve.

Considering the last 3 RAV 4 EVs that were on Ebay all sold for over $60K, this begs the question, why?

My friend (Caltech Physics alumni, Class of '77) called me recently. I told him about used Rav4 EVs going for $60K used. He told me he bought his new Rav4 EV for $40K many yrs ago, after he had to give up his GM EV1 (to the crusher).

He tells me the range for his Rav4 EV is 100 miles. Wouldn't make it for his amateur astronomy jaunts to the outback (he uses his Honda Element for that). I need a vehicle for such activity, so maybe I'm looking at still playing with gas guzzlers. I recently declared my '82 Dodge 4x4 van non-operational, since I refuse to deal with $4/$5 per gallon gas. In a pinch, I can always rent a car for a "project".
