So when the trunk is closed, there is no gap between the trunk and rear bumper ? Any pics showing the rear with the trunk closed ?
May need to adjust the latch a bit?Yes, I’m getting the same. I tried adjusting the right and left bump stops a little to space it a little more but then the latch wouldn’t catch. I’m probably going to bring it in for a service appointment for them to look at it.
Same on my MS. Service told me it was normal. I'm waiting until it wears a hole all the way through before I take them to task over it. If they want to be stupid and then replace the whole bumper cover, so be it.
May need to adjust the latch a bit?
Ya, maybe add some washers underneath the latch to space it, but that would require removing interior panels to get to it. Does you hatch pop up with quite a bit of force when you push the release? Mine pops open with a bit of a “bang”
I don't notice a significant amount of force on the rear-hatch release. I'm just going to let Tesla handle it. Fingers crossed.![]()
Good Luck and keep us posted !!
BTW, do you still have that gorgeous Acura? Loving your Tesla?
Yes - I still have it and thanks for the Acura compliment !! It is 1 of 84 Yellow/Onyx NSXs for the 1997 Model year. Total production run of 1997 NSXs was 338 cars. Had thoughts of selling it for a 2019 NSX or a mid-engine Corvette, but not in any hurry....
Love driving the Tesla P3D so far and it is definitely quicker from 0-60 mph than the Acura. ....by a lot !!! The car was just covered in Xpel Ultimate Plus, tinted and chrome deleted. I decided to get the whole car covered, because there is a lot of road construction around here and the paint just seems to attract scratches. Any thoughts of ppf for your Tesla ??
What a special NSX, I can imagine it would be incredibly difficult to part with that one. Have you noticed value has increased or remained steady, recently? I bet you especially notice how well it corners, compared to the Tesla, with the lower ride height?
