Been following this thread for a while now and thought I'd share the disaster of a car that was waiting for me today at the Tysons Corner service center. Originally ordered white on white Plaid w/ 20 inch wheels in January 2022. Changed my mind a couple of times on color and ended up going back to the same combo in March.
Like many of you, my delivery date was stuck on October 2022 until the end of May at which point it bounced around with the last range being July 17 - August 4th. Then on 6/3 got a VIN and notification to schedule delivery on 6/4. They gave me a whole 5 - 7 days to get financing lined up (check from bank still not not arrived as of today).
Cutting to the chase, received a VIN in the 3447XX. When my wife and I showed up, car looked good from far but was far from good. In no particular order, here is the list of things that we discovered in about 15 minutes not even using the delivery checklist:
1. Molding on bottom of driver side door had clip that needed to be pushed in (I fixed it but how they didn't see this I will never know)
2. Cooling seats didn't work on driver's side
3. "Obstruction detected" message when trying to close driver's side FWD.
4. Rock chips on front bumper
5. Trunk alignment was terrible and even delivery specialist admitted it looked bad.
6. All four captains chairs has wrinkles on the seats
7. Molding above glove box on passenger's side was not seated. Suspected it may again be a clip but I couldn't fix it.
8. FWD handles recessed into door and not flush.
Other than that, she was a beauty. Even the service advisor recommended that we reject the car which is exactly what we ended up doing.
As a shareholder, I was glad there was literally a line out the door for other customer's accepting delivery. As a customer, this is piss poor, especially for a vehicle of this price range.
Here are pictures of 2 of the 4 captains chairs. I didn't take any more pictures once it was evident we'd be rejecting it.
