Yes I know that. But sometimes on the Tesla website a demo or used model becomes available but they do not show the inside of the car. So I thought if you can look at a vin# and see if it's refreshed or not.

If you used a VIN cut-off you would want to take a conservative approach because they're not sequential. With some searching on the forum I'm sure you can find a ballpark VIN to use.
