What percentage can you limit the charging where it doesn’t effect the braking?

In my 2023 MY, regenerative braking returns at 98%.

It depends on some other factors too, like the temperature, a colder environment will have limited regen at a much lower charge level than a hot environment. Similarly, preheating the car can help increase regen availability at the start of a drive

If you turn on the blended friction braking option under Pedals and Steering the braking of your Tesla Model Y when you lift your foot from the accelerator pedal will not be reduced when regenerative braking is otherwise reduced or unavailable due to low battery temperature or a high battery state of charge.

If you are coming down off a mountain, I only charge up to 90% to allow for regen the whole way down. Otherwise, I’d set it for 95% for normal flat driving unless I needed that last 5% for a stretch drive to the next charging spot.
