Remanufactured Drive Unit

I got my Model Y back after they repaired a failed rear drive unit under warranty at just 2,000 miles. They replaced it with a "remanufactured" drive unit and I am wondering if that's something I should be concerned about. After all, I didn't buy a used car or a re-build car. I bought a brand new car. Why is Tesla using refurbished parts to fix a new vehicle?

Has anyone had the same issue and could you please share your experience?

Your failed drive unit will also soon be a remanufactured drive unit. Hopefully, by now they've figured out why they are failing and the remanufacturing process is good enough.

At least Tesla is transparent about it. Legacy would have sneaked it in and told you it was the new updated version. But yeah, at 2k miles I would expect a new one as well
