Removal of sticky front license plate frame

Has anyone attempted to remove the adhesive based front license plate frame? Will it ruin the paint? It's been on my Y for a month.

its similar to removing emblems and badges. hair dryer or heat gun(low) and either dental floss or monofilament fishing line. then some kind of cleaning agent to remove any left over sticky residue. then wash and wax the area. lots of "how to remove emblem/debadge" youtube videos

Fishing line to saw the adhesive.
Then pick up a rubber eraser wheel for the heavier spots, if you keep the rpms low should come right off

then close it out with a little goo gone then a full buff and polish

It comes right off with heat and/or goo-gone. Nothing at all to worry about.

Years ago I used fishing line and WD40 another car, worked great and it won't ruin the pain.
