Geez. Lots of work tI get the tail gate off. Standard ‘’real’’ trucks are much easier.
Quick removal of the tail gate is a big plus and a task needed often. Say you’re loading a pallet with a forklift. You quickly remove the tail gate and the forklift and get close to the bumper and place the load deep into the bed to spread the load and balance the weight in the bed.
IMO another design miss.
