Scraping the bottom

Hello all. I purchased privately a 2021 refresh S, with 21 inch Arachnids.
The car is low, not sure just how low, but low enough that when I go over an incline, it sometimes scrapes the bottom badly and I have no idea if this is a minor or major problem that needs to be resolved or addressed. Will the battery fall out? Kidding, but I am concerned.

I understand that if I'm aware of an incline I can raise the suspension and that the car will remember it for next time, but I don't always know an incline is coming or see it coming.

So I need to have this reviewed by someone in the know. My question is, should I bring it to Tesla Service, or a mechanic or a body shop?

thanks for any feedback or advice on my concern.

J

You should be able to raise the car at that location. The car should remember it.

If you are referring to a flat road to an incline, well, people just learn to angle up the things. When I see an incline, I looking for gouge marks in the road, if there are any, I know that I'm going up at an angle.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The bottom of the battery pack is VERY thick for this purpose and even has little fins that take most of the damage versus the actual bottom of the pack. My car is lowered an 1.5 inches below factory, and I drive on the "low" setting - I occasionally scrape. But after 8 years, the bottom of the pack is as good as day 1 from a strength standpoint.

Also, no - the battery will not fall out.

Thanks. Like I said, I'm aware I can raise the suspension, but I don't always see the trouble ahead, especially at night obviously. Ok, good to hear that the bottom is very thick. :)
Reach under and feel it.
I'm sure that one of the reasons that so much attention was made to the hockey pucks when jacking the car is that many mechnis would feel it and assume that it is sturdy enough to jack.
