"Select media Source"

For the last week or so, every time I get in the car it always shows "select media source". I always have it selected to Spotify, but it doesn't seem to keep it there any longer. I have restarted the system twice already but nothing changed.

Is anyone else having the same issue? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yes. It definitely got worse recently. Totally annoying. I have to restart Spotify almost every time I start a drive.

Yes, I’ve gotten that message with Apple Music frequently.

It happens when your car completely goes to sleep, usually at home (but possible if your not using sentry mode elsewhere). When the car sleeps, it does not remember your last audio source used. If you give it a minute, it will usually default to your most used Tesla (Slacker) station.

I just go my 2023.2.12 update. Here’s hoping the media source thing got better.

Me too. Usually I switch to Spotify for a while them come back. Getting my Apple Music library converted to MP3 has new urgency

The behavior has changed for me with the latest software 2023.12.9. When I wake the car up it shows "choose source" but if I just wait for about a minute it more often than not continue to play the same song in Spotify that played before I exited the car.

I think this might be happening to me when I have Easy Entry enabled on my driver profile. I've disabled it for now and will monitor to see if it's any better. Perhaps switching between the 2 profiles is causing the issue with AM?
