STO 1/19 -CC 240 (to make up for missed revenue on closing P200 early)

Sometimes it is good to be busy in the morning. I sold Jan 19 240CC's after we bounced back to 222. I did not expect to see green today. I like Jim's comment that Elon wanting 25%, implies he won't be selling stock, but I worry this is him getting a pound of flesh from someone. I was expecting to be buying my puts at 205 and 200 this week.

Just meant if I rolled my contracts at 212 my options were worse than doing it right now

FWIW, having sold all my TSLA holdings earlier this year (and not coincidentally left this board for the duration), I began buying back in today. TBH...not a conviction buy at this point, but enough of a position to warrant me considering things.

I figured I would go down with the ship and bought short and long term calls near the lows, Jan 26 2024 217.5C and Jan 16 2026 200C

No idea what my exit plan is here, but wouldn’t a run at 230 make sense, macros allowing? I mean if we get a bounce, should we see mid BB?

I would like to report that SPX looks to get springloaded on the 2h and 4h to blast into new ATH in a few days. Soooo I wil get rid of these -C240 early (in a few minutes even)

I'm torn about doing nothing for next week. The week after leaps is potentially volatile. Nice to get paid for that, but not so good to have to rollout long term, or get assigned.

Massive EV weakness today probably due to China numbers. Tesla is actually acting like a megacap today for once.

Tsla CN numbers are +20% yoy compared to 2023, so started well even though 7k doesn't sound like much, of course a lot go on ships earlier in the quarter

Well, so far, my strategy of "doing nothing" is playing out

While I bought-to-close all my shorts calls for gains around $212 this morning I didn't have nerve to sell more -P at the same time, since I'm already quite extended on -P, better safe than greedy/sorry.

Meantime re sold-to-open some insurance CC's at $222-$223 area (the same one's I BTC earlier). Not ready to do closer in time and money, want to see how the week plays out first.
