Sent the wrong license plates in NJ

I received my new plates from Tesla today. Unfortunately, they're for someone else. I'm hoping it's just a case of my plates being swapped with this other person and it can be straightened out easily. I've already emailed my delivery center.

So, if you live in Manalapan NJ, and are awaiting plates for your black model 3, let me know! I may have you plates!

That stinks. Just curious, did you pick up your plates from Tesla or did they mail them to you? And how long did it take? I got my car a few weeks ago and am wondering about the process. Thanks!!

Tesla FedEx'd them to me. It took about 2 weeks to get the (wrong) plates. As a follow-up, after reaching out to the delivery specialist at my local delivery center, they referred it to their DMV team who sent me a pre-paid FedEx envelope to send the incorrect plates back. A few days later, I received my correct plates via FedEx.

This is NJ... I'm sure the process and timeframes in other states vary.
