Sentry mode not downloading video to usb drive

Just bought a Samsung 128 gb flash drive and it looks like I don’t need to convert it to fat32 as there is already a option on the screen to format it, unless I still need to?

I tested the recording by honking and it doesn’t record.

sentry mode does detect motion, but cannot view the clip and it’s not stored on the drive.

anyone having similar issues?

You need to format it with the in car option as it'll will add the correct "Teslacam" folder to the flash drive where the clips are stored.

It is formatted through the car option.

Mine stopped recording a few days ago so I contacted support and they weren't able to help re format the drive through the screen. So I took the drive and formatted it on my Windows PC computer with the instructions to add the TeslaCam folder and that worked. Not sure why the format option in the MY didn't work but it's working now.
