FYI sentry mode working with Sandisk mini SD 256gb for 5 years, since 2019. Stopped recording logs and would not record on honk. I bought 2 brand new Sandisk minis(256 & 512 gb), reformatted 4 different preowned thumb drives in EX-Fat and fat32, bought 2 new Sandisk thumb drives nothing worked. Stopped by Tesla service and they said I had to use a Tesla thumb drive which didn’t make sense as it’s been working for 5 years without an issue. They offered to sell me an OEM drive but wouldn’t let me return it if it didn’t solve the problem. A very kind customer in the waiting room overheard my woes and offered to let me try his Tesla thumb drive - it worked so I bought the OEM one, only 128gb unfortunately. So the question is what changed? Maybe I missed notes in an upgrade. Problem solved without paying my 200$ deductible on warrantee.
