Sentry mode without locking your doors?

Does sentry mode work even if you don’t have the doors locked. Quite often times I will leave the car and go somewhere and realize that I did not lock the doors and I put it in sentry mode. Does it still record sentry mode events even though I didn’t lock my doors?

yeah you can keep sentry mode on even with doors unlocked! Make sure to turn on the walk away door lock and wait for the lock hock confirmation sound too !

Often times I walk away and leave the car with the doors unlocked and then later on remember to turn on sentry mode. So I guess my question is, does sentry mode still work when I engage it well after leaving the car and also leaving the doors unlocked? I don’t always remember to lock the doors after engaging sentry mode from a distance.
