Tested sentry mode on my 2023 model 3 without my phone near me and it did not get activated. Called in for advise and did everything they told me. So i scheduled to bring in my car. The lady at the desk told me to leave my i watch with my phone away from the car. It worked. Wasted trip but it worked. FYI. Wished the advisor on the phone knew this.

Sentry Mode will activate even if you have your phone key in the car, as soon as you shift into Park, so I think service misinformed you (not unusual). Whatever the problem is, it’s not your phone or watch. My Apple Watch is not recognized as a phone key.

Then whatever the issue was it had nothing to do with your Apple Watch. Do you have Sentry Mode disabled for certain locations?
