Your absolutely correct. If white is your color, then all you will need is the bolts that mount it to the floor. Perhaps we should strike a deal...

I don't think it would work because they use different wiring harnesses most likely. The extra 2 seats still communicate with the MCU

If you want to make it simple, just bolt them down and don’t connect for heated seats. Mcu doesn’t care either way for a physical seat added.

Very true. Still, the harness' can be connected and if for some reason you need to have it flashed before it is recognized by the car, it can usually be done for a minimal charge at the service center.

It needs power for other things though. The seat belt sensors need power, and the folding mechanism is also power operated

I would suggest that you buy a 7 seater because the 5 seater 2nd row won't slide forward and it doesnt have a 3rd zone or vents in the 3rd row

No trying to rain on anyone’s parade but the 5 seater has no heat or AC in the rear like a 6 or 7 seat model X. It’s the same problem with the jump seats in the back of the S is that it becomes a sauna in the rear without ventilation. It might be ok on short drives or on nice days. This would be nice if someone already owned an X with 5 seats and wanted more versatility but I think it would be better if buying a car to get one equipped with AC and heat.
