Solar + PW Installed - question about breakers

Ah, I see now, it's to combine the two PV sources so that a single AC disconnect for the solar may be installed, which may be something your POCO (power company) requires.

If you had only (1) PW+ and (2) PW2s, then you wouldn't need the 125A load center, but you'd use two more spaces in your service panel.

Cheers, Wayne
Awesome, thanks so much. Any thoughts on having two PW+ & one PW2 vs one PW+ & two PW2 as you noted? My solar array is only 9.315 kW DC, so maybe seems unnecessary to have two 7.6 kW AC inverters, especially if it is requiring another load center. Extra (unnecessary) costs for Tesla it seems...

Got the following answer from my design engineer about the 125 amp load center:

"The 125amp load center is actually a generation panel. The tie-in used requires a generation panel that contains only generation sources and no loads. The only way we could remove the generation panel is if the project was designed with a single Powerwall+ and your local authorities required fused disconnect,
which does not apply to your situation."

@wwhitney was spot on. Thanks again
