This is the frunk of my 2014 Model S with a stock wheel and tire. It is a snug fit, so there is no weight shifting. I also have AAA.View attachment 848284

You need a substantial jack, capable of lifting the heavy weight of this car. I have this jack: 4000 LB - TruLift Ratcheting Scissor Jack w/ Rubber Contact Point and a Harbor Freight low profile racing jack for both spare tire changes and to lift one side of the car at the same time for tire rotation. I also put jack stands as a backup under the side of the car lifted in case of failure whenever possible. Use rubber hockey pucks between jack and car.

FWIW I got the scissor jack from Modern Spare when I bought the spare wheel which works well.

I wish the frunk could hold that now!

I've yet to receive my 2022 Model S - still a couple months away. Is the 2022 frunk smaller than the 2014 model with the picture of the full size spare? That is my preference, a full size spare.

how do most of you deal with not having a spare tire. I'm thinking about the kit offered by Modern Spare Tire kit and looking for guidance

Six years; three cars; 175,000 miles. Michelin tires. Only once have I had to use goo in a can. YMMV

It is much smaller. You will have an added motor up front. This 2014 model does not have a front motor.
