Static sound from dash speaker

So we took a trip to CA this weekend and we listened to a lot of streaming music on the way. On a few (maybe 3 of the 200 + we lialiste to, there was a sound from the dash speakers that sounded like static or crackling. Change the song and it would go away. Is the speaker bad already? I've never turned it past approx half way, and bass has been kept at the middle 0 setting. Any idea what this is? The best way to describe it is static but maybe even crackling..

This is a known issue most of us have experienced as well. Quickly pausing the music by pressing the left scroll wheel and resuming by pressing it again clears it. This bug has existed for many months.

It seems this may be isolated to Slacker and maybe TuneIn as well. If you’re listening mostly to Bluetooth sources or FM you’ll likely never encounter it.
