Steering Wheel Heat - barely warm?

So, I just purchased a 2023 Model S with the steering wheel and I tried the heat today and it is barely lukewarm and not all the way around the wheel. I only feel it at 10 and 2 and 9 and 3 positions. I just sold my 2022 Model 3 Performance the wheel heater in that car was like a branding iron.

Is it normal for the Model S steering wheel heater to be so weak?

Wow/ Mine 2018 S gets too warm so that I have to turn it off soon...

Tesla replaced my steering wheel and it’s much better now

I just got my car and it seems like it only warms where my hand is. It -would- be possible to heat only dynamic areas (provided there are discrete warming zones) based on sensor input used to detect hands on wheel…

They replaced my wheel and it’s better. But yes. It’s still not uniform like the model 3 was. And not as hot. But it’s warm enough now. I guess it’s just another Tesla quirk.

Interesting. Thanks. My ‘21 M3P was delivered just before they added that feature so I have no reference from other Teslas.

'17 MS data point - the wheel gets so hot it's hard to leave on more than a few minutes.
