Strange part came loose

Hello everyone,

I was driving and suddenly I heard this grinding noise. As you can see in the pictures this metal piece near the back side wheel came loose. Does anyone know what the purpose is of this item. It seems like a small hook but I can’t seem where it is supposed to be. Model s p85+ which had a new drive unit a month ago. Could it be related?

I think that keeps your car from making a grinding noise.

I did look under my '23 MY. I don't see a strip like the one that fell out. Is it possible that's road debri?

It might be a section in between the battery and side rails that this long aluminium part has fall off. Yours is different than mine, 2016 with ski-rails under there. Can’t it be put back, is there a section thai this front will attach to?

p.s. You have uneven rear tire wear!

I would stop by a service center and see if they know if it belongs on the car or not.

Is it made from stainless steel? If so, I reckon it is road debris: it looks like a reinforcing bar from a windscreen wiper.
