It seems that now hey're building the stall bases. 😀

The Alachua Supercharging Station is almost finished! They put up the signs and resurfaced the parking lot today. This will be a much needed help for Gainesville Supercharging and a financial boost for the businesses in Alachua. Exit 399 on I-75, near Hitchcock's Food & Pharmacy. 😀 Exit 390 near Santa Fe College is next on the list. The permit was approved back in February. 👍🏾💪🏾🤓

I'm happy to say that I'm the 2nd. I drove thru at 12 today and the guy was programming and couldn't tell me when they would be up. Charging now. Could be a little faster for being the only car here, but that's my only complaint. Close to home. Not showing up on the maps yet so traffic will be scarce until then I'm sure.

Stopped here while travelling north on Christmas, about 8pm, bypassing the Gainesville site. As promised, this a large site with many chargers.

Unfortunately, because of the holiday, all the businesses were closed and the parking lot lights were turned off. This is a pretty desolate location to be spending half an hour in the dark. I have been to some lonely charging sites, but this is the first time I thought it might be just sketchy enough to skip. I'm sure the site is fine when the stores are open.

The parking lot lighting had been having problems periodically for about a month. Normally it's very well lit. My biggest caveat is to watch out for speeders. The locals seem to love to "drag race" at 40-45 mph directly in front of the supercharger stalls, which is dangerous if you're walking over to the supermarket, or trying to pull in to charge.
