Tesla is negotiating with the City of Monterey to install a new supercharger in the Fishermans Wharf parking lot at 106 Washington St, Monterey, CA 93940.

Lease negotiations were still underway as of 11/1/2022 (City Council closed session agenda).

Stopped by. There is no way that I could find that you will get to the chargers without paying. There is no cashier - you pick up ticket at entrance and pay at a kiosk before going to retrieve your car. Unless there is a large restructure of the 'enter and exit' facility, ya gotta pay.

On another note - what a beautiful location to take a break!! The main pier is just 200 feet away. Biking hiking trail, just 3 feet from your car, follows the Bay thru Cannery Row, past Pacific Grove (my home) and ends at Pebble Beach. Beautiful spots for picniking watching whales, otters, etc. Restaurants of all choices - carry outs, souvenier shops. Downtown Monterey is 2 minutes walk.
Lots of places to spend money.
