Supercharger - Pensacola, FL

Yeah, this ain't happening any time soon, unfortunately.
I sometimes uber, and it sucks having to charge at the EA station, since most times only 2 out of 4 chargers are working, and I hate to take up one from a CCS car wanting to charge.

I drove by 7171 N Davis HWY 2 weeks ago, there was no sign of any supercharging construction.

I was there last weekend, and no sign of anything. Honestly, I expect this will be an extended wait like Destin has been.

Looks like they’ve started construction on the supercharger in Orange Beach, so maybe Pensacola is next? One can hope!

Nothing yet, although there is a new 4 station DC Fast charger from FPL, downtown Pensacola. 250kw max speeds.

So what are the odds that this one gets canceled in favor of the one going in with the new WaWa on Boesch lane? If both locations are built, they'd be less than 6 miles apart.

Yeah, I doubt there'd be 2 SC's so close to each other in Pensacola, specially with one already in Gulf Breeze and another one at Buckee's in Loxley

I see no problem with that. Both areas have HIGH traffic count daily, both are close to services for the traveler. Keeping them both is a win. Pine Forest Road is a nightmare in the afternoon with the way the un-balanced lanes are set up with 2 lanes South bound and only 1 lane North bound, it's a boondoggle and backs up everyday in the afternoon rush. Glad I moved out of P'cola and jumped over to Elsanor in the country.

With the current progress (none) of this one, my vote goes to the WaWa one (already digging). It sucks about the traffic though. Pine Forest is a nightmare like you said.

Yes, it seems to be a bit odd that P'Cola has a Tesla service center where you can demo and take delivery of a Tesla vehicle, but there is no Supercharger in town. Obviously, most owners charge at home. But with P'Cola being the home of several hospitals, a military base, a few colleges/universities and an international airport, you'd think it would have a Supercharger by now. More L2 charging at these locations would also improve things a lot.
