I'm really glad to see progress here. I frequently drive from Polk County to Boca Grande. I usually stop at the Sarasota SC for a full charge to give me enough juice to get to the island, drive around during my stay, and then get back to Sarasota if I need it for the trip home. This new site will make that trip easier, it's 22 miles closer to my destination which means an extra 44 miles of charge to use when I get there. Yay.

Construction has started. Workers moving about this morning. Looks like they are closer to Jacaranda in the parking lot which is prime parking for BrewBurgers. I can see these being iced regularly during peak restaurant hours. I live in the area so will try to update with pics weekly.

I live in Venice. And I drive on Jacaranda every day. Only few days ago I noticed 8 stalls installed. No FPL meter yet.

Looks great. It is in the brewburgers parking lot.
Have pictures from last night and this morning.

Still no progress. Permits still show open status and awaiting final inspection but nothing scheduled or listed for a date. Not sure if FPL hookup needs to be completed first.

Nice picture! The concrete pad where that wooden box is sitting is where the transformer will be installed. The panel on the post next to it with the circle cut in is where the electric meter will be installed. My guess would be the site is waiting on FPL to install the tranformer (usually a large green box) and meter.

Unfortunately…to be expected. There have been so many storms lately outside FPL territory that I’m sure they are sending resources to assist. Plus, COVID workforce absences of course.

Naturally we need this site and Punta Gorda turned on to account for tourist season.
