Tesla uses a full thermal management system, with a liquid coolant circulated through the battery pack that can be heated, cooled with radiators, or held below ambient temperatures using the car's air conditioning system.
Tesla and GM seem to have the most sophisticated TMS systems, and I doubt you'd have any issues. There are several folks here from Arizona who seem quite happy with the car in the desert heat.

It's glorious. You can turn on the AC from your phone well before you go out to the car, so it's always nice inside once you get in. Cooling uses little power, so this barely impacts range. The batteries have powerful cooling systems as well and are always taken care of.

No problems in sunny Arizona. I have driven the car in 110 degree weather without issue. Pre-cooling while plugged helps a lot, but the car works fine if you don't.
