I've noticed the exact same thing. Happens all the time for me too, so I've stopped driving in the right-hand lane unless there is a line marking on the right-hand side. I don't see why it can't stick to the one line it can see in these situations.
Not sure how useful this information is because it depends on how much you drive your Model S. We avg 25kwh per day of consumption including charging the Model S but I only drive it around 300-400km per week. Most of that is used by the house (2 adults/4 kids). On a nice day in Melb our 10kw...
I spoke to Dan from Dan's Garage Detailing today and he can't fit my car in for Opticoat until December! But from what everyone says he's the best in Melb so I guess worth the wait.
Driving a Model S is really one-foot driving 90% of the time because you can generally use regen to wash off the majority of your speed. Brake Pedal is only really required when you're coming to a complete stop or need to stop quickly. This makes the brakes last a lot longer, captures the max...
That's awesome ZTrekus you're going to absolutely love it. The only problem I've experienced so far is that I now can't stand driving an ICE car! Fortunately I'll only have to borrow my wife's car when I need to tow something.
Its absolutely amazing to drive even in the rain. The car is so planted and stable on the road and the AWD makes it grip like nothing else. I've owned plenty of powerful AWD cars like Subaru STI and 911 Turbo but none of them felt like this. I haven't heard my tyres break traction once yet...
I'm really happy with the look of the grey turbines. I've got to install the wheel protection strips this weekend because I really don't want to get a scratch on them!
That's great! Good to see that the word is getting out there with the younger generation. It's a shame that the Aussie dollar is making Tesla's significantly more expensive for Aussies cos I think that will push a lot of potential buyers out of the market.
I was dropping my kids off at school the other day when my 11 year old daughter Madi (grade 5) started the following conversation:
Madi - "Daddy, are you going to drop us off at school when you get your new Tesla?"
Me - "Of course I will why?"
Madi - "It's going to be weird because everyone...
Here's a quick vid I took of a P85D launch, nothing you haven't already seen a million times though

Call me lazy but I'd love one in my garage. Then I can just drive in and get out of the car the same as I would with an ICE car. They could easily make it auto-retract when you approach with your key so you're good to go out.
The ship with my car is still at the dock and apparently leaves in a few days. Couldn't be the Cap Blanche though because that's currently in Seattle according to MarineTraffic.com
ZTrekus I'd say with the large number of Tesla's on this next ship we'll be lucky to receive delivery within 2...
The only way of knowing whether your car is on the ship is to ask your delivery specialist nicely... That's how I found out and I don't see why they wouldn't tell you. It would be very odd if your car wasn't on the same ship as mine given similar build dates.
Got confirmation today that my car is on the ship but the ship hasn't left the dock yet. I imagine there's a lot of our cars just sitting on the boat. Oh well at least they're not still sitting on the dock! Received my wall charger on Friday so arranging an electrician to install it soon.
I think you'd have to have a death wish to throw a big heavy (and expensive) car like a Model S around the Bryant Park Hillclimb track. I've seen some massive crashes there cos the track is so tight. It's a great track for dedicated Hillclimb cars though!
Here is some footage from my Hyper...
Congrats ZTrekus! From my experience to date that is a far as the messages go, I wouldn't expect any calls until the car has pretty much arrived in Australia. I'm sure you're not going to sit back and wait though so you can probably start hassling your delivery specialist for shipping info in a...
"Your Model S is in transit from the factory" - amazing it only took 4 days to build!
I can't believe it's now ready to roll but I won't be able to drive it for another couple of months. Now the wait becomes really hard... Time to get the charger installed
Wooohooo!!
My car is officially "In Production"! Looks like they're finally really ramping up the Aussie D's to meet that Sept delivery date.
It's a shame I didn't go over for TMC connect this weekend I might have been able to spot my own car on the Production Line during a factory tour.
I've spoken to the guys at Macquarie and to qualify for the Resale Guarantee you only need to finance $50k of the purchase price. Therefore if you were thinking about paying cash for the car or drawing down on your home loan (cheapest finance you'll ever get) you could finance $50k of the price...
Did you get a call from James from Tesla Aus yesterday? He said he doesn't have any more specific details about the cause of the delay, but he did confirm that it is affecting all RHD Dual Motor cars - UK orders have also been pushed to August. He said he expects the cars to go into production...
I'd say you're probably right that in terms of launching there would be reduced tyre wear, but that's probably offset by the number of launches you'd feel compelled to do in a D!
I experienced the same thing test driving the P85 and P85+ at Chadstone. I haven't driven a single motor S60 or S85 and going to dual motors might not be worth it if you're considering either of those, but the difference between the P85+ and the P85D is significant not just in terms of outright...
I disagree that he was referring to the production date. This is the exact statement from the letter...
"Unfortunately, the delivery date for your car is being delayed back and will be updated in your My Tesla account from June to August"
I'm going to reply to Jerome's email asking why My Tesla...
Surely their CAD models would have made design issues like that obvious a long time ago. They would certainly have a comprehensive CAD model showing how all the parts interact.
Yep received the same email. It seems like an odd explanation to me... What could be specific to a rhd dual motor that would be such a complex part to manufacture?
