The interview focuses on Elon trying to rebut the NYT article and say that Tesla is not looking for a gov't bailout.

He also mentions that he wants GM to produce an all electric version of the Volt.

Yet another person claiming that Tesla wants a loan to go towards the Roadster. Do these people come up with this idea on their own, or is there a CONSPIRACY?!

So, according to her, Tesla shuffled Sam to be the 100th person so that he could get Oprah to get Obama to give them $350 million dollars? This is very silly indeed.

Also:

He just paid $109,000 for a new Tesla car. It's only the 100th Tesla car sold, and you have to be somebody to get one.

1) He didn't just pay $109,000.
2) You don't have to be "somebody" to get one... really! you just have to be somebody who can write a big enough cheque.

The Tesla Blogs are back. It will probably take a long time to regain the commenters (if ever) but this renewed commitment to communication is commendable.

At this point the content is thin but on the whole, this is a great sign the new face of Tesla is speaking up.
