Tesla Destination Chargers at Chicken Ranch Casino, Jamestown

I will be traveling to Twain Harte during the xmas holiday. My destination charging is a iffy (I am going to a cabin which I have not ever been). The closest Supercharger is Manteca. It is fine if I don't have much driving in the town or drive to Dodge Ridge. I noticed that Chicken Ranch Casino have 3 Tesla Chargers. Have anyone used them? Do I need to stay in the hotel or go gamble? Just let me know your experience with that location.

Check PlugShare. The Jamestown Hotel also has a HPWC for guests. You could certainly have lunch or dinner there and plug in.

There is also a B&B near Twain Harte. Perhaps you could contact them and offer to pay them to charge for 4-6 hours. There is also a campground just east of the B&B that has 50A plugs. I would suspect that the campground is not a busy spot this time of year, so you likely could arrange to charge overnight if you can cadge a ride to and from your cabin.

All Tesla Destination Chargers are shown on the Tesla Motors "Find Us" web page map and there is useful information about them available, including whether they are "guests only" or "available to the public".

That is how I found out about the casino Tesla connectors. I am looking for someone who used it. Worst case, I will stop by before I continue to Twain Harte and check it out.

In your first post you asked:

The answer to your question is shown in the Destination Charger information that I posted from the Tesla website.

Reporting back on Chicken Ranch chargers. There are two Tesla Wall chargers on the restaurant side of the building. When I stopped by to check it out, they were not being used. They should be 40-48A, I did not check. I drove to Groveland and had lunch at Iron Doors Saloon while Seven is being charged. Groveland does not have any cell phone coverage by ATT. Don't expect to get charge warnings.

Although it's too late for your trip, I thought I'd put some feedback here. I used the chargers yesterday when staying in Twain Harte. They are open to the public and you do not have to gamble. The location is just off 108 and convenient for the Twain Harte to Oakdale corridor. Although the photo doesn't show it, there are 3 80A/16Kw chargers and one level 2 charger for other EVs. The chargers are on the left side of the building near the bus stop and the huge "Bingo" sign. I left my car for several hours but not overnight, although it seemed secure enough to do so if needed.

I'm very grateful they are there. While I could reach Twain Harte without difficulty on the current Supercharger network, getting back home was looking to be a real pain as I would have started off with just enough charge to reach Manteca, requiring a long charge there and then still probably further charges on my way back north of San Francisco. With the Casino's destination chargers, I'll only need a 30min charge in the bay area to get home and I may be able to better choose Supercharging stations to avoid the crowds.

I'm no real fan of gambling or Casinos but I'll have some fond memories of the Chicken Ranch.
