It's just a car. Two bucket method works well and prevents damage. If you don't want to invest in a kit with pressure washer then consider using ONR or McKee's 37 N-914 and you'll be able to keep your car clean with minimal effort
Nope still waiting for people advise on this, been washing through water & microfiber clothes by hand, regrettably, there are some scratch marks.

You’re just washing with water and no soap??
There is nothing special about Tesla washing. It can be washed like any other car with any normal car soap or car wash.
Been doing that also, time consuming, NYC is very dirty, can't wait for my Cybertruck so I don't have to care as much anymore.

Jersey Shore not NYC but close for some readers... We do hand wash of our MY for the safest results... we use kitchen dish soap and the local power wash water only hand spray garage in Hazlet, near GSP X 117. Blue Wave auto Spa on 35N has two hand wash bays. We have also used an automatic car wash with success after testing it with the gas car first... Team Express Car Wash, also GSP 117 on 35S near Costco.
No damage to our MY from either of these choices and (very important) no attendant / stranger wants to enter our car either.
Anyone know how to engage the security cam recorder while in car wash mode? If there is damage, one might want it on record. Thanks.

You need car wash soap. It helps trap the dirt in the bubbles and lubricates your cloth or wash mitt to help limit scratching
I’m in Long Island City and if it’s not warm enough for me to wash the car myself I usually have these guys do it. I’ve been going here for over ten years and haven’t had any issues.

Yeah in the same boat as you and no parking spots too, yet NYC is super dirty and picks up dirty real quick.

In Westchester, I’ve been super happy with Chris Breezy Customs in Mamaroneck. He’s been taking care of all my cars for at least 5 years now. Premium pricing, premium results.
I was at the Newburg charging station today at Orr avenue and route 300 off 87 Exit 17. After I finished charging , I need to go to the rest room. Decided to go to the gas station across the street and as I was pulling into the station, I saw a touchless car wash. The cheapest option is $10.00. I chose that one. It ran through the various soak , soap rinse cycles. It was pretty neat and all it is water spraying on the car. My car looked a lot better coming out than when it went in.
