Did anyone else just receive an email from Tesla announcing their own in house collision repair at the service centers? They are claiming they can now perform the following at their service centers:
And you can schedule these repairs through the mobile app. Previously you had to go to a Tesla (or third party approved) body repair shop to do these things. It looks like they can’t do major repairs yet but this is still a nice step to see them taking as nobody really wanted to go to a third party repair shop and then hope that they now how to order parts from Tesla and get them in a timely fashion.
- Paint scuffs and scratches
- Minor dents
- Bumper, fender, door, side mirrors and other bolt-on replacements
