I am arranging an EV car / plug-in meet-up for lunch at the Gold Coast Yacht and Country club on Sunday the 25th (2015 if in doubt).
There will be some "known surprises", for instance most likely the creation of an EV / plug-in organisation in Hong Kong, as well as some "unknown surprises" which are ... well ... unknown (to most).
I swear I didn't know until a few days ago, but by chance, Tesla Motors are having test drives in the same weekend, in the shopping mall right next to the marina:

Just like those test drives, we start at 10:00 am, by meeting up and exchanging ideas, looking at each others cars, inspecting add-ons and battle scars, and generally just socialising. From 12:00, we will go for the lunch buffet, where we have booked an entire section to sit together. From 2:30 pm, back to the cars, lasting as long as people want to stay (4 hours parking included when having lunch). Extension of the 4 hour parking is under negotiation, nothing promised, but the intention is also that we can help each other with minor installs, tips&tricks and so on, so I hope it will last longer than just lunch.
For parking, turn LEFT in the roundabout towards the club and proceed to the manned parking guard as can be seen here Google Maps .
If you instead turn RIGHT towards the Piazza, parking will NOT be waived but paid via your own octopus card. Arrive early to ensure a spot, if late, you might have to resort to the Piazza parking.
There is a buffet and a BBQ, with the BBQ being additional add-on for those interested. For our event the buffet will be "mandatory" as we want to sit together inside.
Price pr person will be confirmed soon, but it will be less than 300 HKD for the whole package (adults), while buffet without BBQ will be somewhat less - details to be confirmed soon.

Deadline is January 18th, with pre-payment to a bank account number given in an email at a later stage for those that wish to sign up.
Other EVs than Tesla Model S and Roadsters are very welcome, ie BMW i3, Renault Fluence, Nissan Leaf, Zero Motorcycles, Mission Motorcycles, Tesla Model X, Tesla Model III and so on. It must be something that "plugs in", where as "brake energy harvester hybrids with no plug" are outside the scope of this meeting.
