Anyone going to this? did you go last year and was it worth it? I envision thousands of teslas roaming the street looking for chargers at the same time in this small city....

We may go but can't promise yet. I wouldn't worry too much about chargers for Models S3XY. There are 50 Superchargers in SLO, 20 in the next town south, and 36 in the next 2 towns north. One should be able to arrive fairly full and not need to charge while there.
It will only be a challenge if we bring our Roadsters that can't use SuperChargers and don't have so much range.
