Armin Laschet is expected to succeed Anglel Merkel as German chancellor (prime minister).

Berlin.de - 17 minutes ago: Laschet sees Tesla as a model: meeting with Elon Musk

Excerpt:

Laschet says he will meet Tesla boss Elon Musk when he visits the car factory's construction site on his election campaign tour on Friday. "I'm glad that Elon Musk has just texted me and that we have agreed to see each other tomorrow," said the North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister. “Of course, this also underlines the common will to make such an investment possible in other fields in the future as well. To do this, you have to talk to each other. "

This is interesting. Possible follow-on projects at Giga Berlin? Well we already expect at least Model 2 (and very likely Euro-Semi) to be built in Berlin.

But maybe there's something more? Battery / Grid storage and ancillary services? AI/Robotics? E-bikes?

Cheers!

And then sell-off after AI Day?

Actually I think Elon will inadvertently reverse-psychology the market (I believe he’s being truthful when he says recruiting is sole purpose). The market will find things to get excited about because Elon specifically said, “There’s nothing for you here.”

😂
Well to attract the best AI specialist compensation is also part of it. Knowing Tesla is a heavy stock based compensation company, you want the presentation to somewhat involve Financials vs a bunch of off the wall pet projects that can't be made into a viable product.

Will my Model X filter clean those tiny particles up? Are there common home heat pump filters that fine?

Tesla answers this best here: (Article from May of 2016)

"The plot below shows the subsequent evolution in pollution levels inside the vehicle and inside the bubble. In less than two minutes, the HEPA filtration system had scrubbed the air in Model X, bringing pollution levels from an extremely dangerous 1,000 µg/m3 to levels so low as to be undetectable (below the noise floor) by our instruments, allowing us to remove our gas masks and breathe fresh air while sitting inside a bubble of pollution.

Not only did the vehicle system completely scrub the cabin air, but in the ensuing minutes, it began to vacuum the air outside the car as well, reducing PM2.5 levels by 40%. In other words, Bioweapon Defense Mode is not a marketing statement, it is real. You can literally survive a military grade bio attack by sitting in your car.

Moreover, it will also clean the air outside your car, making things better for those around you. And while this test happened to be done with a Model X, the same would be true of the new Model S now in production"

Okay, instead of speculating supply chain issues by the companies Elon listed, lets look at exactly what is going on with Renesas. (And if anyone can find Bosch's transcript, please share)

TLDR

1. Fire at the Naka factory in March affected wafer production.
2. Covid in Malaysia will be causing supply issues of raw materials, some stating it will decrease by up to 50%.
3. Orders backlogs from auto is growing in an exponential manner(there's a nice graph 9)

I would consider reading this entire transcript before calling Renesas acting in bad faith. I really don't understand why people think Tesla is always the victim of some kind of world wide conspiracy when our marketcap is every auto maker combined. Tesla is now king..yes maybe having a reliable supplier was a problem before when Tesla was on the verge of bankruptcy for a good 7 years but not today folks.

TLDR/DW; FSD edges closer...

"technically, the car did travel from LA to SF without any disengagements, but he's fair to admit that there was an intervention in San Francisco from parking lot to parking lot."

When something is in short supply, it needs to be rationed. It's the way it's rationed that's of interest here.
So I think you're missing the mark. We all know COVID brought on a shortage of chips but I don't think Elon would have called two suppliers out by name unless he thought it could affect the dynamic of how chips are rationed going forward. There would be no point in it.

If anyone here is a Jeopardy fan, I'm pretty sure that the current champ, Matt Amodio, who is getting his PhD with a focus in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at Yale is actually a plant by Elon to illustrate just how far ahead Neuralink truly is...

Or he is just informing people those are the companies that are problematic at supplying parts...Basically what he said. But hey if you want to read the tea leafs then go for it. Sometimes Elon is just being informative and not playing 20 D chess.

Yet another Tesla competitive advantage that people are only starting to skim the surface of.

The Tesla charging experience stands in stark contrast to other EV charging stations. This is an example of Elon's 4d chess. Understanding what the customer would need and having the testicular fortitude to build it years in advance, adding substantial value to each sold product, as well as adding substantial progress to the mission.

Innovation meets execution.

Basically Elon called out Bosch and Renesas: “yo, get your sugar together, we will buy tens/hundreds of millions of chips in the next decade, we will be your major client. Prioritize the future.” 😎
Based on the transcript, no one is having any fun spending half the call explaining supply chain problems while the back log grows. I think they got the message with or without Elon.
