Trade in lien amount

Im taking delivery of my M3 end of this week. I’ve made a couple payments on my current vehicle since I applied the trade in to my account so the “lien amount owing” is no longer accurate. Anyone know if Tesla will update this before delivery or should I just expect to overpay and receive a refund?

I sold my 2018 Volt privately, through Autotrader and and made 30% more than trading in. Just my 2¢

To answer your question, I suggest you reach out to your delivery person to have them re-adjust the numbers.

I'm taking delivery this week too. For the lien, just email an updated Payout amount to your SA and he/she will take care of it.
I ordered my MY back in August and the Payout amount is quite different, so I just downloaded the new Payout document from the website and emailed my SA today & he said everything is good now. I'm trading my 2019 RDX & Honda Finance lets you to download it yourself. If your financial institute won't let you do it yourself, just make a call & ask them to email you the document.

I was in the same situation, either the day of delivery or the day prior someone at Tesla phoned previous lienholder (scotiabank in my case) and refreshed the amount to the actual amount. The additional went as downpayment towards the Tesla.

I did the same and got it updated right before delivery. I just sent them the new info.
