Trip advice: for LA to SD and back, where to Supercharge and eat in the San Diego area?

I'm going to be headed from LAX to Harrahs SoCal to San Diego next Sat & Sunday. Then drive to Pasadena on Monday morning.

I'm hoping to only charge once, starting at about 250 miles at LAX.

Ideally I'd charge Saturday at around 1:30 pm, someplace I can eat as well.

Any specific suggestions?

If you’re just coming to the casino and not into San Diego I suggest Temecula. It’s on your way either direction and is in a mall setting with a few restaurant options.

Look up Temecula promenade for eateries.
You’ll charge faster at lake Elsinore but there are no eating options

There's a pub at the Lake Elsinore outlets and the chargers never seem to be busy. It's also very quick to access off the freeway.

Temecula has a lot of restaurants but the traffic can be time consuming especially near the mall on a Saturday afternoon.

I agree with RZRZ - you do not want to use the Temecula SC on a weekend afternoon. They are located on the 3rd level of the East Parking Garage, and just getting to them is a PITA with everyone else crawling along trying to find a parking space on the first two levels.

If you're traveling on the I-15 the Lake Elsinore Outlet SC's are very convenient. Easy off and easy return to the freeway, and I've never seen it 100% full, but your restaurant choices are limited. In addition to the Pub, there's a Vietnamese / Pho restaurant really close to the SC's. My wife has eaten there while charging and said that the food was good.

Lake Elsinore Outlet Restaurant options:

Pints and Quarts Gastro Pub | Lake Elsinore, CA

Welcome to Signature PHO & DESSERTS

There's a DQ and a Wetzels Pretzels there as well.

Casino Saturday, then down to San Diego Sunday. I could charge at the A Street charger, but I think there's a fee to park?

Pub looks fine. How far away are the SC's to the pub, because it seems I'd get there with 200 miles left or so, and will have to move my car before finishing lunch.

Another option I was thinking of was headed over to the 5 to hit San Clemente before Harrahs, or Carlsbad the next day? Any issues you see there?

Then check out the new Camino Del sur location :)

It’s about 25 miles south of Harrah’s I believe and there are a lot of eating options within the parking lot, albeit large
Yah, this is my top choice now. I could also head over to Carlsbad as well. But if I do it on the way to Harrahs, I'd probably do Lake Elsinore.

Since I'm picking up 2 people at LAX before going to Harrahs, I have a feeling I'll hit some delays, so it might not even be lunchtime.

Too late to comment, but you could have started out with just enough miles (plus buffer) to get to Elsinore - then charge while eating without the 'almost done' interruption.
We occasionally do that depending on destination - but when doing multiple stops, we learned long ago not to 'fill up' at a stop - just enough (plus buffer) to the next charger. Saves tons of time and charges much quicker (since batteries are at a low level).
