Trump strangely enough, gave major kudos to Elon Musk calling him a national treasure. Also, he has been listening to some people advising him on approving a new solar farm in Nevada(Buffett reselling Power) and a wind farm in the ocean. The best way to describe it, or at least he should describe it, is look, some technologies just aren’t there enough to cut off your nose to spite your face regulations and nonsense talk about cutting off fossil energy before these technologies become more efficient. Fossil fuel stocks etc are like what Kramer calls the new tobacco stocks and overall electric cars are cooler, faster, etc. and the tipping point is already there. Hence the crazy Tesla stock ride. This and battery storage could in fact single handedly solve the green issue of global warming which even Trump is starting to acknowledge does exist. The problem is Obama gave Musk a 750 million dollar government loan that made it possible for Tesla to survive and he paid it back in full with interest. Probably the only thing he did that succeeded. Trump won’t admit that. I believe Trump cleverly made mention that “we” invested in him and Elon owes us. So these may be clues, if he is smart, on how to explain green topic. even conservatives don’t object to less fossil fuel as long as it doesn’t cost them anything. The future will look like this. As mass battery production ramps up, they can only sell as many cars and Powewalls (from solar) as they can produce. Cars are more lucrative so solar storage is on hold or they would just be replacing one for the other hence fossil fuel is necessary. Carbon scrubbing and natural gas has already reduced emissions considerably. Better than China where liberals would easily sell their children’s future for something cheaper in terms of polluting with coal as long as not here. And we are energy independent so we are lucky because we can always draw off this till replaced. So in the near future when there are enough Tesla gigafactories in each country, the cost goes down significantly. Bottom line a solar roof on every new house that goes into a Powerwall that stores it and powers the cars and the entire house. You still are hooked into the fossil fuel electrical grid to pick up the slack and if that gets cut off you can use your battery storage like a generator. Use it all night and it charges back up in the day. 5 to 10 years. Conventional electricity combined with sustainable houses and automobiles. Eventually solar farms may replace all of it. Plus more nuclear. The important thing was first to get out of the wars and control cost. Point being it’s all being done in the natural economy of capitalism. Not by force, the rest of the country is not LA. Thank God. Clean energy is what people want which creates the demand and the conversion begins all the while we have our own energy sources in house. Even exporting it while rest of world catches up. So if Trump could let both parties know that this is the general plan. If the Democrats would stop the Premeditated Impeachment Conspiracy since before the election, we could convince conservatives of these ideas.
