Hi guys wondering if someone could maybe offer some guidance, I backed up to this Tesla today and we decided to not file with insurance, depending on how much the total would be and I said I would pay for it. It looks like small damage but does anyone know/have an estimate of how much this damage may cost? Sorry, I know nothing can be determined until the person goes and gets it fixed but if anyone had maybe a range for me, just having a lot of anxiety loll

Thanks for your help

I had something fall on my hood, left a small 6-7"area with 2 or 3 little dents that looked like hail damage. Estimate for repair was around 550. Was told they'd just bondo it smooth then repaint and blend. Was going to see if pdr could tackle it, not crazy about having the bodywork done.

Find a local "dent removal" shop. Not a paint/body shop, just dent removal. I did something similar to my Taycan a couple of years ago. It was $1200, but no paint, and there was no sign of my mistake. Not sure you want to make the trip to VA, but these guys Dent Shop are the real deal. Worse case, you may want to call and see if they can recommend someone in your area.

There are some Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) specialists that can remove that dent without doing any traditional paint and body work, but not all of them can do it. Some of those guys can only handle door dings.

See if you can find one of these types of PDR guys in your area. It will save a lot of money and also give a better result since they don't have to try to match the paint:

Unless I am reading your post wrong you backed into somebody Else’s Tesla with your car? Assume you’re trying to estimate how much your mistake will cost? If that’s the case, no chance I would accept Bondo or other personally.
