Tesla can (and will) go up or down by a factor of two in a couple of weeks. Do not invest any money in it that you might need tomorrow. That said, over time, anyone who has invested in TSLA for any length of time has doubled or tripled their money. The longer you hold it, the more you appreciate it as a long term investment.

If you are short term trading, don't do it. You could lose 40-50% or gain the same. Maybe try the lottery or a roulette wheel instead.
