Thinking of adding EAP to my Raven MS performance. While indeed the cost/benefit is debatable, my other concern is - will it make highway autopilot / phantom braking worse?
No difference to core AP functionality. It will offer you the option to indicate in a direction and for it to do a lane change for you, rather than having to disconnect AP and reconnect
Now that I’ve decided to carry on with the Raven, and have the cash from the planned Plaid upgrade burning a hole in my pocket, I’d like to still get the automated lane change and basic summon for rare occasions. I had those on my original AP1 car.
Appreciate any advice on why I shouldn’t, apart from it admittedly being not really worth it?
I use it same as @Ferret. I do "signal to change lanes" on motorway, and usually it works. Rest of the time I resort to "steering" and then get the big-bong (and again when re-engage AP).
I think EAP has a money-back-period? if so maybe best bet is to buy it immediately before a decent amount of motorway trips, and then send it back if you find it isn't actually useful?
