Recently I bought a CO2 monitor to mess around with and found some interesting things.

1. In somewhat warm weather 75-80 degrees my x75d tends to be on recirculate more than 95% of the time. Not sure if this is an energy saving technique but seems higher than my previous gas cars.

2. When the air is on recirculate, within 10-15 minutes CO2 levels can exceed 2200-2300 with 2 or 3 adults in the cabin. It hovers between 1500 and 1800 when it’s just me.

3. Manually putting the air on circulate fixes the problem and gets C02 to atmosphere levels (500ish)

4. CO2 levels greater than 2000 can cause drowsiness!

5. If the air is on manual, you can still have the fan on auto by using the clicking right wheel scroll button when it’s controlling fan speed. Unfortunately, after parking and getting back in the car, it doesn’t seem to save the auto setting and you have to click it again for it to be on auto.
