My update stalled. Then the car's systems started to act strangely: difficult to start, no audio, no voice commands. Connecting to a hotspot and the all-important reboot: brake pedal and both control wheels at the same time (the Tesla version of CTL_ALT_DEL) cured the issues.

i was able to reboot w/o using the brake. is that normal?

it seems like most of the updates and functionality scheduled for the highly anticipated v10 updates will require an MCU2 car vs an MCU1 car? Am I correct in my assumption?

I got MCU1 and you don't get much, but you do get smart summon Pretty cool!

I hope/wish we could get an option to update our MCU... Maybe when MCU3 comes along

It's normal. As I understand it, rebooting without the brake pedal down reboots the systems which controls displays, GPS, and entertainment. Rebooting it with the brake down does this, and also reboots some systems associated with the driving the car.

You got smart summon on an MCU1 on 2019.32.11.1? That's better than I got (April 2016 build). I got Spotify and not much else...

April 2016 is AP1 (and MCU1.) I think the other post is AP2 but MCU1.
